塘下镇的经济飞速发展，我们的生活条件是得到了明显的改善，在这同时，我也感受到周围的环境污染越来越厉害了。

我站在门口看着来来往往经过的汽车，扬起一阵阵灰尘，汽车排放的尾气强烈刺激着我的鼻子。街头巷尾到处可以看到一堆一堆的垃圾，有用塑料袋装着的，有随便堆积在一起的，更有一些空塑料袋在风的吹拂下滚过来滚过去。

走过小河，我看到“鱼虾的家园”早已经被污染得很厉害了。河水是深绿色的，不时漂来一些塑料带、腐烂的木板，却看不见一条活泼的鱼。菜市口有人在清楚垃圾，一棵棵已经失去价值的白菜扑通扑通地被扔进了河里，漂浮一阵就沉下去了。一家工厂把浓黑色的污水直接排入小河，排污口处的水面上漂浮着大量白色泡沫。

公园里的小路被打扫得很干净，可是草坪上的草已经被破坏了，露出一块一块黄土地。灌木丛的根部有塑料袋堆积着，天气已经比较冷了，这里的苍蝇还很多。易拉罐、塑料瓶等垃圾有人捡去买了，可塑料袋就没人捡，在角落里堆积着，成了苍蝇、老鼠出没的'天堂。

听爸爸说，街道两旁以前是栽有许多树木的，可是这些树木从来就没人管理，有的被砍了，有的被风刮倒了，现在没剩下几棵了。

我想：塘下镇的环保工作做得太不到位了，人们的环保意识也太差劲了，每个人只考虑到自己的切身利益，而不注意保护大家的利益。其实只要我们多走几步，把垃圾集中起来处理，街道就会干净得多；工厂在排放污水的时候，把有害的物质处理了，塘河也就不会污染到没有鱼虾的安身之所了；大家都知道保护小树，在春天的时候，多植树，让树叶来阻滞灰尘，那么空气中的尘土也就不会这么多了。

保护环境需要大家一起动手，我相信只要大家齐心协力，塘下镇的明天一定会更美丽。
