网络还有一个十分有用的功能，就是网络有名的搜索功能。我要找的许多网站，虽然不知道它们的地址，但只要在百度搜索里填上它们的中文名称，浏览器就能马上帮你找出你要的网站和相关的内容。如，我要找“小学生优秀作文”的网站，我只需在地址栏中输入“小学生优秀作文”几个关键字，按回车键后，浏览器上便出现了我要找的内容和相关的资料及图片。

因为我家上的是宽带网，就可以在网络上预先看电影或看你想看的旧电影。网络上的新闻和资料比广播、电视、报纸速度快，内容全，资料多。如，奥运会中某位运动员，吃了兴奋药，得了金牌这件事我就是从网上知道的。真是秀才不出门，能知天下事呀！

在我幼儿园时就接触到了电脑，是爸爸买的，那时候，爸爸总是多给我上网搜图片，用打印机打出来，让我第二天拿到幼儿园里给同学老师分享，我也在那时候接触到了一些小游戏，也学会了搜索资料。知道了网络那么好后，每次都会央求爸爸给我玩一会。可好景不长，在我三年级时，爸爸就把宽带给拿掉了，。那是我恼怒地跟问他：“你为什么要这样做？为什么！”可他却严厉地对我说：“这影响学习，是不好的，而且对眼睛也有害，我看你好像有些迷上了网络，要知道它坏处也很大啊！”

为什么会有信息呢？那要从古代说起。古代的信息记载方式有：结绳记事、刻石记事和文字记事。那么，在古代，信息如何传递呢？老师告诉我们，信息的传递方式有很多种，大致分为人力传递、动物传递和工具传递。人力传递主要靠步行或骑行传递信息，有时也会口耳相传；动物传递方式有鱼传尺素、鸿雁传书、驿马传递、猴子传信等；工具传递主要借助于烽火台、钟鼓……听到这里，我不禁联想到一句诗：烽火连三月，家书抵万金。

活动中，老师还向我们讲述关于信息的加密方法：历史悠久的'“象形法”、直截了当的“封泥法”、意趣盎然的“谜语法”，以及“摩斯密码法”等。其中，我认为最有意思的是“封泥法”：把信息放进信封，在信封开口处封上专用的泥巴，并且在封泥上印上专属的印章，等封泥干透后传递出去。我认为，“封泥法”是最安全的一种信息传递方式，因为万一信封被人打开了，那么封泥处就会留有裂开的痕迹。

今天的活动真是有趣啊，让我收获了不少的新知识！
